orange cups? longboards? chestnut tree? It must be TOZD

Once I went for a walk I took with myself not only my dear Husband and our baby girl, but also my sketchbook. I wish to do some drawings and catch ideas coming to my head. We had our coffee at TOZD. I have already wrote you about TOZD bar in Ljubljana. We like that place and we are coming back from time to time to drink good coffe in orange cups.

I made some sketches there. They needed time to grow and become an illustration but finally here it is!

Slovenian seaside and malvazija

After a few extremly beautifull, sunny, hot days here in Ljubljana we have a very, but really VERY rainy time now. Ok, let's be honest it is not really "time"... it's just one day (by now), but it was completely enough for me to feel autumn depperession. Honestly! I don't know what happened to me, but suddenly I feel like a baloon treated with a neddle.... all power went out of me. 

Even another cup of coffee din't work. Instead of doing something positive all day I was walking around like a ghost washed out of energy and without any sign of optimisem...

I hope we will go to a seaside soon. I long for sea! Salty skin, salty hair, seaguls, white wine malvazija and this amazing smell in the air... I think we should move to the south;)

Ljubljana in the summer time

Last days are a little bit crazy. A lot of things happening.

On Saturday I was a part of the foreigners market organizated in Ljubaljana by Slovenska Filantropija (Slovenian Filatropy). It was very nice time spent in very nice company. For a few last days we have at home our lovely friends from Hungarian band Cirkuszka, who this days are having concerts here in Ljubljana. So every evening spent together is full of talks and laughing. 

And I am preparing a new exhibition. Promise to write something more about it soon.

our tradition

My Husbad and I have a little weekend tradition. This tradition is a little weekend trip.

On Saturday's mornings we like to sit, snip our coffee and think what to do. Usually he is asking me: "so...where you wish to go my love?".

And my answer is usually: "to some beautiful place". 

We have some our favourite places which are always good idea. The best example of such place is Piran. We also like to visit places we've already been to just for checking if they are the same beautiful in different season.  And of course we love to explore some totally new places.

Then after morning coffee we check what is the weather forecast for the weekend in Slovenija and with that little help we usually choose sunny and warm locations. 

This weekend was perfect. Saturday trip- where we were and how it was I will write and show you as soon as I will download photos. 

And Sunday we went to the city centre. It also is our little weekend tradition reserved for those weekends which we are spending in Ljubljana - drinking our favourite coffee or drinking coffe in our favourite place (because it is a big difference between favourite coffee and favourite place, and beceause nothing is perfect they are not in the same place...at least not in Ljubljana).

This weekend was perfect- trip, coffe in our favourite place and a lot, a lot of sun! and what is the most important our private little Sun was enjoying that time with us:)

p.s. I know, my english is h o r r i b l e... forgive me and try understand no matter of my embarrassing mistakes...

p.s. I am thinking about making some postcards with a view of Ljubljana. What do you think about this idea?

tiny, tiny clothes

Some time ago I was surprised:
"oh, who can be so small to use such tiny, tiny clothes? I hope it won't be my child! if she would be able to wear this it would mean that she is premature..."
and....?
she was wearing them! and the smallest one were far to big for her!
and she was not premature, she was two weeks later:)

red or white wine?

Słowenia pokryła sie lodoywm płaszczem, gdzieniegdzie tak zasypało, ze mieszkancy co poniektorych miasteczek spedzaja wieczory w romantycznymblasku swiec i opatuleni w kocyki. W Ljubljanie nie jest tak zle. Drzewa przepiekne, gałezie uginaja sie pod ciezarem lodowych czapek - nic tylko na spacer trza sie wybrac opatuliwszy przedtem siebie i Dziecie w ciepłe szale i rajstopki. Wino białe i czerwone, letnie sukienki, małe domki, winnice i zapach nie tak dalekiego morza....ach i och... oczywiscie nie mogło zabraknac drzewa z owocami kaki i kota)

coloring book- close up part II

As you probably noticed last posts I wrote in polish. Juhej- finally something in my language.

I introduced some pictures I made togehter with a friend of mine- Guillermo, ana artist from Argentina living and creating in Slovenija. We decided to make something together. He likes colours I am using in my paintings so we choose puting his lines and my colours togehter in one.

I felt like in big "coming back to past" when I got my "coloring book" from Guillermo:)

And this is next part of this what came out of this project.

The next step is framing all pictures in tekstile, batik frames made by Guillermo, and making an exhibition. I will inform you about the opening.

Ach, tak to czasem bywa, ze człowiekowi co tam sie w głowie przekreci i pod wpływem impuslu wykona wielki "powrot do przeszłosci". Tak było i w moim przypadku... Po tzw. przypadkowym (bo ja, prosze szanownego panstwa, w przypadki nie wierze, nawet te gramatyczne) spotkaniu w plenerze z moim znajomym, argentynskim artysta Guillermo, dałam sie namowic na wspołprace. Taki mały eksperymencik artystyczny.. On- linia, ja- kolorki. Jakis czas potem dodarło do mnie kilka obrazkow do....pokolorowania....!!! :-D i oto ja, powazne dziewcze, usiadałam po raz pierwszy od nie wiem ilu lat do kolowanki! juuuhej! ale fajowo! Od razu wrociły wspomnienia lat 80, kiedy to na spacerach z mama udawało mi sie zaciagnac rodzicielke do dzielnicowej ksiegarynki (taka we Wrocławiu na Sepolnie, na ulicy Olszewskiego) i tam zazwyczaj udawało mi sie dostac kolorowanke z Reksiem zapakowana w filoteowa teczusie. Uwielbiałam te obrazki i kolorowanie pieska na zielono z pomarancowymi łatkami. 

Ach, wspomnien czar. Całe szczescie, ze Guillermo nie miał jakis specyficznych zachciewajek kolorystycznych i w doborze barw miałam całkowita swobode. No i wychodzenie za linie jak najbardziej dozwolone! 

Oto rezulaty naszej wspołpracy. Guillermo czarny kontur, ja- wszytsko pozostałe. Teraz jeszcze tylko oprawienie wszytskiego w batikowe ramki (made by Guillermo) i wieszamy wystawe.

Ta- dam!

Finally it start to snow. 

Dziecie usneło (hurrrra! od rana nie daje mi ani chwiluni tylko dla mnie..) i w koncu moge sobie posta strzelic. I to nawet w ojczystym mym jezyku sobie strzele, a co mi tam. Nalezy mi sie, w koncu cały czas po "jakiemus innemu" zmuszona jestem sie porozumiewac.

W koncu troszke nam sypneło sniegiem. Nie za duzo tak odrobinke, ale ja narzekac nie bede, bo jak to prawi madre przysłowie, co za duzo, to nie zdrowo :-) Polsce ponoc maja wiecej i z tego powodu tez gorzej. W sensie sniegu wiecej. 

Tutaj tak miło sobie pada, powoli, majesatycznie wrecz. Fajnie popatrzec tak zza okna jak ten szary i brudny podworkowy swiat robi sie bielutki, i choc chwile mozna sobie pomarzyc, ze ten swiat jest nieskazitleny, czysty i pachnacy. Ale to tylko chwilki i przypuszczam, ze lada moment zostaniemy brutlanie postawieni na ziemi i to w sam srodek kałuzy, pluchy, błota i wszechobecnej ciapy na chodnikach.
Alez zupełnie bez sensu, ze to wszytsko pisze, przeciez juz kazdy wie - wszak poranna lektura fejsbuka juz za nami, a tam kazdy sniegiem zza okna sie dzieli. Takie zycie.

No to jeszcze obrazek. Troche zapomniany. Ilustracja do bajki Miomiry o aniołkach. Jak sie bajka drukiem ukaze, to obwiescic nieomieszkam. 

No to teraz Dziecine zapakowac w wozek, siebie w nieprzemakalne butki (Mezu moj, jakzez jestem Ci wdzieczna za Twoje porady w obuwniczym) i na własne zyczenie wypedzam sie w srodek idylliczej ciapy. 

welcome 2014

happy new year everybody!
we spent our new years eve at home. our first new years eve together as a family. so, so nice! we enjoyed our time together. after we lulled our baby girl to sleep, we were playing board games (we are totally in "kahala" and "scrabble" in slovenian version...even don't ask - I am loosing all the time...my husband is board games master;) and sipping on champagne until late. 
i love such peaceful time with my beloved. 
and how about you? how did you spent your new years eve?
crazy parties with friends? or quiet and calm atmosphere at home?
i hope you all have beautiful time.

not that i am missing snow or slob but i really prefer winter now-in winter time then in march or april...

Little Angel

Today I am leaving you just with this picture. 
I have a little Angel at home- she came to us a few days before Christmas and she will stay for a long time - until she won't fly away to her own life. Our beautiful, sweet Angel :)

10 days have already gone sice I wrote last post. It was crazy, beautiful time and it happened a lot, a lot, a lot of amazing things. Our life has changed :) It has changed for better :)

Sice I have a little- big Miracle in my life now, I cannot promise I will be writting very regulary for next few weeks. 

But I can assure you that I will update my blog as often as it is posiible. I have already prepared some pictures and toy-posts for you, so stay tuned:)

a good girl?

Happy December has started. We even had an opportunity to welcome it in the city centre last Tuesday. I was happy becasue I didn't expect I would be able to go outisde at the 3rd of Decemebr.

Yesterday we had a date with Saint Nicholas in the middle of Ljubljana. In old city was so many people! People rushing, people in every shop, every corner filled with hysterical crowd... 

It was hard but we survived:)

And this night Saint Nicholas has sent his angel also to me!

Does it mean I was a good girl?

Dzis za oknem cos przefantastycznego. Nocna mgła zamieniła sie w szadz, ktora pieknie otula okolice. Napatrzec sie nie moge na te srebrzyste gałazki mieniace sie w promieniach przedpołudniowego słonca. Słonce i lekki mrozik szczypiacy w policzki- najlepsza zimowa pogoda!
